Winter Bird Identification

Martin Rule freelance ecologist and British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) surveyor will guide you on a walk around Loe pool taking in the bird life using the variety of habitats found there. We will hope to see birds of woodland, water and coastal habitats, overwintering and resident. All will be identified with hints and tips on the key bird species you would expect to find and how to approach bird survey work. There will be discussion on habitat management in relation to the wildlife around the pool, Martin regularly undertakes contract work for the National Trust around Loe Pool so he will be able to explain what is done and why.
