As anyone who has kept a vegetable plot will know, Cornwall’s mild damp climate is ideal for an abundance of Slug species and many Snails too.Of the 120 or so species of non-marine Molluscs recorded for Cornwall only 50 or 60 could be considered common whilst many of them are very rare and some may be extinct.
