The best way to learn how to identify birds is to start with the ones that visit your garden.John Rance will be well known by some of you as a member of our Wildlife Information Service. He is a keen and very experienced Birder and will lead you through the birds likely to be found visiting your feeder, their identification features and behavioural quirks that distinguish them from each other. Also additional information on birds that may only be seasonal visitors and the occasional outsider that may come to call. There will be a presentation with plenty of time for questions and discussion and a walk around the Trust gardens and grounds to get us using our eyes and ears tuned into to birding.

This workshop coincides with the Big Garden Bird Watch weekend run by the RSPB and emphasis will, of course, be on recording the birds that visit your garden.
