Finding the exuviae (cast skins) of Dragonfly larvae at a wetland site provides irrefutable evidence that not only are Dragonflies are using the site but most importantly that they are successfully breeding there.
This has implications not only for ecological surveyors but for land managers that wish to monitor the effectiveness of their habitat management.
Steve Jones will coach us in this straightforward survey method, how and where to collect and how to identify the exuviae and record to provide records of real value.
